At the Department of Development Studies, a subunit of the Faculty of Social Sciences, we focus on the transdisciplinary analysis of global inequalities as well as on questions of methodology and methods referring to the subject of 'development'.

To support our team, we invite applications for a Postdoc position in Development Studies from a political science perspective with a focus on North-South relations.

As University Assistant ("postdoc") at the Department of Development Studies, you will primarily be engaged in the area of development research from a political science perspective. The position calls for the collaboration in the department's transdisciplinary teaching and research programme. In particular, participation in and expansion of international cooperation and research is expected. Project application and (external) fundraising as well as (international) publishing and presentation activities are part of the tasks. Independent research designed to further academic qualification (habilitation) is explicitly desired.

Holding classes is due to extent regulations of wage agreement (up to 6 hours/term). This involves the support of students (especially the supervision of theses), examination activities, as well as the participation in evaluation activities and in quality assurance. Furthermore, you will participate in the department's administration.
