ISTA is a constantly growing institution on an ambitious path to double its number of employees until 2036 – digitalization is a key factor in sustainably expanding ISTA’s operations. To meet this challenge, ISTA will create the new position of “Head of Digitalization” who will manage and facilitate digitalization within the entire administration and the scientific service units. They will also be in charge of leading the team “Organization, Processes and Project Management” (OPP), thereby combining the topics that are crucial for all digitalization efforts. We are looking for an experienced professional who will drive the digital transformation of the organization in collaboration with all stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and implement a compelling digitalization concept for the entire organization in line with the Institute’s mission and goals
• Lead the Team “Organization, Processes and Project Management” within the Unit Executive Affairs at ISTA (currently 3 experts)
• Drive digital transformation by working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to build a sustainable digital ecosystem
• Establish a digitalization governance structure and ensure that all digital activities are fully integrated into the strategic long-term plan of the organization
• Manage digitalization projects
• Further develop ISTA’s process landscape and project management at ISTA

Your profile

• A proven track record in leading digital transformation in a project management or process management role
• Understanding of the technological aspects of digitalization, relevant technical education or equivalent experiences
• Experience in leading a team
• People manager, networker, facilitator
• Conceptual and strategic thinking
• Strong communication skills and excellent command of English
• High level of social competency, capability to balance diverging interests within the organization to reach sustainable solutions
• Hands-on and proactive mentality
