PRIMARY DETAIL

Provide technology support to users & minimise downtime and loss of productivity for our MQ Hospital. Hybrid working arrangement.
• From $80,753 to $91,815 gross per annum (HEW Level 5), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
• Full-time, continuing role. Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde.
• Fast-paced and busy role. Hybrid working arrangement.

THE ROLE

The Technology Services team providing support to the Macquarie University Hospital is seeking an experienced Technology Officer to identify and apply appropriate information resources, tools, and methods support users and solve IT issues to minimise downtime and loss of productivity.

In this fast-paced and busy role, you will also facilitate user access to end-user devices, specialist equipment, technology systems, and infrastructure. You will be responsible for standard set-up, monitoring the performance and undertaking maintenance activities for devices, equipment, systems, and infrastructure in line with service level expectations, identifying potential issues, providing escalation support as well as ensuring compliance with MQ IT standards.

You will also develop user documentation to support the correct and effective use of devices, equipment, systems and infrastructure, and ensure clients and internal stakeholders follow the relevant processes and procedures when logging incidents and requesting changes.

About You

You will have experience providing IT support and information to users to diagnose and resolve reported issues of moderate complexity; receiving and responding to standard service requests; installation of standard software and tools; preparation of reports and undertaking routine administrative tasks.

Technology Services provides and maintains core Infrastructure and Communication services along with delivering operational IT services and support to staff and students across the University.

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Knowledge of IT service management and security management concepts.
  • Experience receiving and handling requests for support and providing information in Clinical and or Retail environments.
  • Experience in identifying relevant policies and procedures and apply them when responding to requests and resolving issues.
  • Maintaining operational support documentation,
  • Experience in deploying desktop, label and multi-function print devices.
  • Windows Active Directory administration skills.
  • Extensive experience with Windows desktop environment and Office 365 suite.
  • Clinical application support experience with packages such as Genie, Best Practice, Trakcare.
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale hardware and software support, plus EFTPOS.
