  • Remuneration: $118K - $133K (+ 17% Super, leave loading)

The Organisation

UNSW Medicine & Health  is a national leader in learning, teaching and research, with close affiliations to several of Australia’s finest hospitals, research institutes and health care organisations. With a strong presence at UNSW Kensington campus, the faculty have staff and students in teaching hospitals in Sydney as well as regional and rural areas of NSW including Albury/Wodonga, Wagga Wagga, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie. 

Why this role matters  

This position plays a lead role within UNSW Medicine & Health in the creation, quality and review of program and course offerings. The position will also manage Work-Integrated-Learning (WIL) for all Medicine & Health programs. The position reports to the Education & Student Experience Manager and will have 3 direct reports and some indirect reports.

Some key skills required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and managing a team with proven ability to motivate and create a positive workplace culture to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Experience in managing quality assurance, accreditation processes and review curriculum in alignment with university processes and timelines.
  • Demonstrated understanding of emerging trends in WIL and an appreciation of the best practice offerings, both domestically and internationally.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, interpret and implement systems, policies and procedures, and provide clear direction to stakeholders in its implementation.
  • Strong analytical skills including experience in preparing reports, business cases and policy documents to communicate complex issues to stakeholders at different levels.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple issues, tasks, and competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • Significant experience in developing, delivering, and continually improving processes and systems, including project management and change management processes.
