(HEO7) $95,017 - $106,270 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Full time, continuing position.

The Teaching Excellence Coordinator leads a team of Teaching Excellence Officers to provide key operational support to the delivery of university-wide teaching excellence strategies, initiatives, and activities. The Teaching Excellence Coordinator oversees the range of administrative functions (including event management) required to support the Teaching Excellence team’s activities.

The Teaching Excellence team, in collaboration with Faculty and The Division of Academic and Student Engagement partners, provides opportunities for teaching focused development, recognition, and reward for academic and professional staff at all stages of their career.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated understanding of principles, practices and current sector developments in the reward and recognition and professional development of learning and teaching in higher education or in a comparable context.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and track record in leading a team to develop a customer-focused culture with the capacity for flexibility and the ability to respond to change in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Excellent high level communication skills (oral and written).
  • Demonstrated high level organisational and event management skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate, prioritise tasks and meet competing deadlines under broad supervision.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels in the University or a comparable context, in particular academic colleagues.
