Our IT Product Delivery team are uniquely dedicated to developing and enhancing software solutions for various business areas within Curtin, including the development and production of new and existing software products. Your new role
 
As a Solution Architect, you will spearhead the design and development roadmap for cutting-edge products that drive our digital experiences. Your pivotal role ensures that architectural frameworks are scalable, adaptable and maintain the highest standards of quality and security. Your efforts will be closely aligned with our overarching technology strategy, propelling us towards innovation and excellence.
 In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with our digital partners and other stakeholders to design technology solutions that meet the needs of the University and align with the strategic direction.
  • Evaluate and assess new products and patterns and contribute to the overall technology strategy.
  • Full lifecycle engagement with product delivery and engineering teams.
  • Create, review, and maintain solution design documents.
  • Ensuring solutions comply with our standards and applicable design principles spanning the key architecture domains.
  • Promote an agile approach to design and development and ensure that the technical design supports and incremental development process.
  Key Requirements: 
  • Demonstrated experience as a Solution Architect in a large and complex IT environment.
  • Successful track record of taking solutions from inception through design to delivery.
  • Experience spanning a variety of mainstream technologies, architecture domains and design patterns, with expertise in at least one of the following areas: Application, Data, Integration.
  • A team player passionate about technology, focused on business outcomes and understands the pragmatic trade-offs for solution delivery.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Ability to communicate with impact, ensuring information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF are a plus.  
Successful candidates will also have proficiency with the following: 
  • Software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Stakeholder engagement across various levels and business areas.
  • Cloud computing – AWS.
  • Architecture modelling languages and tools such as ArchiMate, UML and iServer.
  • Design solutions using low-code platforms (desirable).  

As this is a permanent position,

you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role to be considered.

This position is

based at our Curtin Bentley campus

, candidates are expected to either be currently located in Perth, WA, or express a willingness to relocate. Please note: Relocation and sponsorship support will not be provided for this position.
