Are you a passionate content creator and storyteller? Do you love social media including Twitter and LinkedIn? Do you love to keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies related to the digital/social media landscape? The Curtin University Media Relations team is on the hunt for a forward-thinking Social Media Officer who has a great attitude, an appetite for news, an eye for detail and is a wiz when it comes to producing high-quality content for a range of audiences. This dynamic and diverse role will see you flex your creative and organisational muscles as you help share Curtin’s stories.
In addition to meeting the other essential criteria for this role as detailed in the linked position description, you will have:

  • A relevant degree or an equivalent combination of applicable experience in journalism/media, social media, communications and/or public relations.
  • Exceptional writing and oral communication skills; and a proven proficiency in and passion for social media content creation.
  • The ability to identify and produce creative, engaging, and high-quality social media content.
  • The passion and drive to perform well with a small and hard-working team.

Ideally, you will also have experience using the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to produce high-quality content for a range of audiences. If you have some photography experience this is a bonus too, as you may be required to provide corporate photography support from time to time.

As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
