Fixed term, part-time (0.6FTE) position until December 2022.

Opportunity to work within the Adelaide Health Simulation (AHS) and the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) Simulation suite, Central Adelaide Local Health Network.

AHS is the most technologically advanced simulation facility in Australasia, and the only Australian simulation facility accredited with the Society for Simulation in Healthcare for excellence in learning and teaching, delivering simulation-based inter-professional training designed to enhance quality in healthcare delivery. RAH is a state-of-the-art facility, with a purpose built simulation area, which replicates the hospital’s theatre and technical suites. Both AHS and RAH are part of Adelaide biomed city, integrating healthcare, research and education.

The Simulation Technical Support Officer provides support to the AHS to deliver simulation-based inter-professional training designed to enhance safety and quality in healthcare delivery. This diverse position will deliver the set up and delivery of advanced simulation based education technology and assist with basic technical support including installation, testing, operation and maintenance activities on equipment and systems, primarily at the RAH site.

 To be successful you will need:

  • Understanding of IT networks and systems knowledge.
  • Experience with simulation equipment and maintenance.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office software including Excel and Access.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of stock control using a database.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
