An exciting opportunity in Information Technology and Digital Services (ITDS) has become available due to an internal promotion.

The Senior Systems Specialist is responsible for delivering and supporting high quality, core IT infrastructure and foundational services to the broader University community. This includes applying expert knowledge of technologies and related products which enhances functionality to meet the strategic needs of the business as well as implementation and maintenance of complex systems, system configuration, hybrid cloud integration and platform as a service solution.

To be successful you will need:

  • Extensive experience in providing support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems and core IT services such as LDAP, DNS/DHCP, VMware, Storage and File Serving Protocols (CIFS/NFS/iSCSI/FC) and SSL certificates.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing core IT systems for reliability and cost.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of current IT trends related to core IT systems and services.
  • Experience in management of a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaborative work practices.
  • Fosters and supports a culture that supports the growth and development of individual team members.

Experience in the following technologies are highly desirable AWS, VMWare, Kubernetes or Openshift, Redhat Linux Administration.
