Overview

Digital and Campus Services provides a responsive, integrated and customer-orientated service that brings together the digital and physical environments for students and staff, supporting their teaching, learning, research and administrative needs. Our purpose is to provide fit-for-purpose and innovative planning and delivery services that contribute to the success of ECU as a vibrant and progressive University.

The Digital Programs and Projects team works in consultation with stakeholders to deliver digital programs and projects across the University. The team is responsible for whole project lifecycle including scoping, planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution and handover.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the replacement of our current web content management system with a contemporary Digital Experience Platform.  The Project will plan, procure and implement the replacement.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless transition to a new platform while maintaining the integrity and functionality of our digital presence. 

Key Criteria

The successful candidate will have the following experience: 

  • At least 7 years of experience in the information technology sector, including significant experience managing and leading teams effectively. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing large and complex ICT projects, incorporating project and change management principles and integrating user and technical input and knowledge to achieve business outcomes. 
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing vendors, contractors, consultants, and staff members, ensuring seamless collaboration and project execution.
  • Proven experience in compiling comprehensive business cases, showcasing the ability to articulate the strategic and financial justifications for proposed initiatives. 
  • Financial management experience demonstrating the ability to effectively manage project budgets.
  • Understanding of Project Management methodologies including Prince2 and Agile methods.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Courage and Personal Excellence.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a national police clearance.
