Overview:

  • 4x new Full-time, Continuing positions supporting the operations and strategic focus of the 4 Schools within the STEM College

  • Salary HEW 10A ($139,262) + 17% Superannuation

  • Based at the City or Bundoora campus (dependent on the allocated School)

About You
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop a newly created role that is accountable for providing high-level strategic and operational business planning, advice and managerial support to the School, working closely with the School Dean and Executive.  

Reporting to the College General Manager, you will build a small and dedicated team around you with emphasis on service, academic enablement and positive work culture. Stakeholder management and your proactiveness will be vital to ensure the success of operations within the School who employ up to 250 staff across a breadth of disciplines in teaching and research.

You will need to draw on your leadership expertise in the higher education sector or equivalent to support large capital projects, industry engagement and financial management within the School. You will also implement strategic initiatives to increase the School’s competitive approach.  

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:

  • Extensive experience in business planning, budgeting and financial management, leading projects, and driving innovation

  • Demonstrated experience providing high-level strategic support, advice and stakeholder engagement within a large complex organisation with an ability to understand issues at both a broad strategic and detailed operational level

  • High-level conceptual, planning and organisational skills with proven ability to resolve complex operational issues

  • Outstanding communication skills with demonstrated experience in producing and delivering presentations, briefing papers and action-oriented reports for a range of audiences.
