As the Senior Manager, International Operations you will:

  • Lead the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Vice President, International and be responsible for the effective and efficient operations of the combined Deakin International functional units. Critically you will ensure that Deakin International has optimal connections with both Central Marketing, Student Services and the Deakin International Offshore network
  • Provide high-level strategic advice informed by research and analysis to the Pro Vice Chancellor and Vice-President, International to support and enable the University to achieve its strategic goals
  • Act as a senior ambassador for Deakin through representations to government, peak bodies, international partner institutions, industry and alumni
  • Ensure that Deakin remains compliant with all government policy and regulations that apply to international students and provide status reports through Deakin’s governance bodies
  • Ensure that Deakin remains compliant with all government policies and regulations that apply to international students including the ESOS Act and National Code, and provide status reports through Deakin’s governance bodies

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Proven expertise in the management of significant human and material resources
  • Experience developing relationships and networks with government, industry, and non-government organizations and providers
  • Experience coordinating or supporting the preparation or evaluation of Tenders, Partnership and Linkage grants, commercial opportunities, and funding requests
  • Experience providing high-level advice and in negotiating or interpreting commercial agreements or contracts
  • Experience in business development and/or the generation of new business opportunities in a tertiary environment
