About the Positions

School of Accounting, Information Systems and Supply Chain (AISSC) with the College of Business and Law is looking to recruit two full-time continuing positions: one at Level C and one at Level D.

Senior Lecturer, Accounting

Academic Level C salary range $129,297 - $149,093 + 17% Superannuation

Position Description – Senior Lecturer, Accounting

  • The Senior Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of AISSC in disciplines related to their field of expertise (accounting, auditing). More specifically, the Senior Lecturer is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate, Masters and Graduate Diploma programs and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities. The Senior Lecturer is also expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. The Senior Lecturer is expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and update colleagues and students on developments in their subject area or specialisation.  The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for course (subject) coordination. The Senior Lecturer is expected to demonstrate leadership by taking on administrative tasks commensurate with their standing in the Department of Accounting.

Associate Professor

Academic Level D salary range $155,691 - $171,521 + 17% Superannuation

Position Description – Associate Professor, Accounting

  • The Associate Professor will provide leadership and foster excellence in teaching and research efforts of AISSC, within the University, and with the community, professional, commercial and industrial sectors. More specifically, the Associate Professor is responsible for providing original, innovative and distinguished contributions to AISSC’s programs for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities relevant to this discipline at a national and international level. The Associate Professor will also teach and make a significant contribution to teaching and learning in the discipline with the aim of improving learning outcomes for students. The Associate Professor will make a significant contribution to the planning and strategic direction of AISSC, taking on academic leadership roles involving participation in various committees within AISSC, College of Business and Law and University and external to the University, as appropriate. The Associate Professor may be appointed as Deputy Head of School/Dean for a specific discipline or to provide strategic leadership for learning and teaching or research and scholarship.

Please Note: Appointment to these positions is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
