About You
Senior Investigator, in Central Complaints & Investigations will be responsible for delivering quality resolutions to complaints and investigations across staff, student and third party complaints in line with RMIT policies and processes within the business of the University.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
- Deep subject matter expertise regarding the management of staff misconduct matters, including an expert knowledge in the Fair Work, Worksafe & Australian Human Rights Commission Acts.
- Previous experience in an employment relation role or HR case management role – specifically managing cases of bullying, discrimination, harassment, victimisation.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively manage stakeholders within multiple hierarchies, who have competing priorities.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, influencing skills, client correspondence and expert report writing skills.
- Proven ability in providing accurate and timely solutions and advice for multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a diplomatic manner.
- Proven ability in the use of a range of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Programs and the ability to quickly learn new technologies. Desirable but not essential is experienced with ServiceNow, Salesforce and Workday.
- Demonstrated ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities while managing complaints and investigations.
- Highly experienced, resolution focused individual who has a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
