Deakin is looking for a Senior Integration Developer to join the Software Engineering group within Digital Services, reporting directly to the Integration Manager. Our team is a diverse group of professionals who work collaboratively to innovate and support each other.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to directly manage team members, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them grow in their roles. You will be responsible for fostering a positive and productive work environment, ensuring that each team member feels valued and supported.

As a Senior Integration Developer, you will:

  • Lead the solution analysis, design, development, support, and governance of enterprise integrations.
  • Provide direction in complex integration scenarios and contribute specialist skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and deploy continuous improvement actions to ensure implementation of continuous improvement strategies in your work area.
  • Actively promote and drive inclusive change using broad influencing skills to gain support and overcome barriers.
  • Use your understanding of the client context to anticipate needs, tailor services, improve service offerings, and ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Act as a coach and work with team members to facilitate growth and development.

6-12 month milestones:

  • Settle in, learn the Deakin landscape, get to know your teams, and the technologies you will be working using.
  • Establish relationships and connections with teams while comprehending our vision, objectives, and team inclusion agreements.
  • Work with your delivery stream and practice team to deliver initiatives, features, and change requests to improve the teaching, learning, research and administration experiences at Deakin.
  • Become the voice and subject matter expert for your domain. Provide guidance and assistance on inquiries pertaining to Integration for various individuals.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training (integration)
  • Significant Integration experience and demonstrated expertise across multiple platforms, with a strong record of leading and completing projects.
  • Experience in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Strong experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform development and support.
