The Role
The Office of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) is responsible for building the foundations of lifelong relationships between the University’s alumni, business, and the community. The Office comprises of two teams – Alumni Relations and Development. The Development team establishes and maintains relationships with donors and partners to ensure that they understand the value and impact of their support.

The Senior Development Coordinator is required to work closely with members of DAR, various Schools and Centres across the University and external stakeholders to ensure the application of best philanthropic practices via the facilitation of compliance and process improvement initiatives and the provision of high-level gift processing and administration services to the ECU Foundation, donors and ODAR colleagues.

Key Criteria

  • A tertiary degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience in commerce / finance /accounting or business development, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Proficient in the use of donor management CRM systems, preferably SalesForce or demonstrated knowledge of similar/bespoke systems (e.g. Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Ellucian)
  • Experience in leading policy, process and procedure development or improvement, ensuring efficiency, while maintaining exceptional service delivery.
  • An understanding of the needs of development stakeholders during a major campaign, Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Act and financial reporting and process obligations
  • Experience in grant writing and proven success in securing donations through Trusts and Foundations
  • Ability to influence the decision, actions or perceptions of others whilst working cooperatively to accomplish joint tasks, common objectives and address potential problems before they arise.

Remuneration

This full-time, ongoing position attracts a salary of

$90,220 to $101,090 pa (HEW 7) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
