  • Based in Student and Academic Services Unit at the City West campus
  • Full-time fixed term contract until 31 December 2024
  • Salary commencement: $96,696 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About You 

You are a highly motivated senior business analyst with exceptional communication and relationship building skills. You have a high level of attention to detail and significant experience with complex data reporting. You pride yourself on your ability to provide solutions through a consultative approach that applies logical, creative, innovative and adaptable thinking. You lead by example and can demonstrate experience and the ability to coach and mentor more junior staff.

About the Role 

You will use PeopleSoft and the Australian Government’s Tertiary Collection of Student Information (TCSI) system to provide high level accurate statutory returns to the Commonwealth Government and provide advice and recommendations to the Manager: Programs and Academic Policy and SAS managers regarding validation reports, identification of errors and overall system enhancements and business process improvements. 

About the Student and Academic Services Unit

The Student and Academic Services Unit (SAS) provides senior leadership in student and academic administration in a distributed service environment. It is responsible for the development and maintenance of policy, information systems and procedural frameworks. The Unit coordinates and provides quality assurance for a number of University functions including student admissions, enrolments, examinations, graduations, student finance and scholarships.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • High level of information management skills, with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and database reporting tools and experience with a relational data base application and knowledge of SQL
  • Comprehensive knowledge of student administration systems, policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to work with technical, academic and administrative staff at all levels of the organisation
  • High level oral and written communication skills including experience in leading small groups and development and provision of high-level training
  • High level organisational and administrative skills, and demonstrated management of information system projects, and working knowledge of UniSA’s project management methodology
