Identify opportunities to continuously improve and mature our IT portfolio management framework and associated capabilities, processes and tools.

In this role you will provide reporting, analysis, quality assurance and governance support across the University of Adelaide’s technology investment portfolio to help ensure that IT investments deliver maximum value and are consistently aligned with supporting the University’s strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Manager, IT Governance and working closely with the IT Planning and Delivery teams, you will contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of multi-year technology investment plans, and leverage your project lifecycle knowledge to facilitate regular stage-gate reviews. The role will also involve analysing project and financial information to assess performance and identify and manage risks at a portfolio level.

To be successful you will need:

  • Extensive experience in developing and delivering Portfolio / PMO services for IT programs and projects.
  • Extensive experience working within Program and Project Management frameworks (PM certification desirable).
  • Demonstrated high level analytical, evaluative, and problem solving abilities.
  • Extensive experience working with Project and Financial Management reporting tools (experience with the use of IBM Cognos and ChangePoint PPM highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with initiative to set priorities and balance the demands of a complex working environment.
