About You
The Senior Advisor, Occupational Rehabilitation provides support to the Senior Advisor Claims & Injury Management in the delivery of rehabilitation and return to work programs for injured or ill staff and monitoring of the service providers.

The Occupational Rehabilitation Advisor will provide expert advice, support and knowledge (including training) to university mangers, staff and People team members in relation to early intervention, injury prevention, injury management, case management, return to work and rehabilitation.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of injury management, equirements and systems for effectively managing health, safety and wellbeing.

  • Experience in the areas of injury prevention, case management, return to work programmes, including preparation of return to work plans.

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and facilitate a strong health and safety culture.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships and relationships in a collaborative manner with key internal clients to support the University’s business objectives.

  • Ability to work independently, flexibly, co-operatively and efficiently as a member of a client-focused team.

  • Extensive experience with the provision of Occupational Rehabilitation counselling (both psychological and physical).

  • Experience in RTW training.

  • Substantial experience in successfully managing non-Workcover cases.

  • Demonstrated experience in relationship building with internal mangers, staff, treating practitioners, as well as key external providers/bodies.

  • Proven ability to work productively and efficiently in high-stress situations, the ability to think laterally, while maintaining resilience and integrity at all times

  • Preferred not necessary to have online experience with Solv Injury
