About This Opportunity 

This senior role offers the opportunity to provide high-level administrative support for academic policy development, program approvals, and the University's Academic Board.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Oversee project completion related to program, policy, and other developments endorsed by the Academic Board and its committees. Provide expert advice and problem-solving on governance matters, program enquiries, and policy updates.

  • Serve as a high-level assistant secretary and research support for the Academic Board, committees, and senior executives. Ensure accurate information dissemination to the university community regarding Board and committee activities.

  • Manage curriculum management system (Jac), leveraging subject matter expertise and monitoring its use. Investigate and advise on policy and procedure updates within the Policy and Procedures Library (PPL) to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Review, collate, and submit applications and responses to TESQA, supporting compliance with university reporting requirements.


About You  

  • Possess a relevant degree and experience (or equivalent combination) with a proven track record of providing direction and support to staff. This includes excellent written and oral communication skills for effective committee secretarial work and clear advice.

  • Exhibit highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships within and outside the university.

  • Demonstrate high-level organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and make sound judgments.

  • Possess a strong understanding of university policies and procedures, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively in complex situations. Additionally, demonstrate expertise and experience with enterprise systems.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
