  • Base Salary $95,860 to $103,341 + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

The Research Integrity Team provides training and support for researchers at the University of Sydney. They are committed to working with researchers to assist them to conduct their studies in accordance with the relevant legislation, codes and guidelines as well as building a culture of responsible research.

As a Research Integrity and Ethics Officer, you will provide operational support to the Research Integrity and Ethics teams. You will play a key role in coordinating, supporting, implementing and delivering key initiatives for the group in order to meet agreed milestones and deliverables.

Reporting to the Research Integrity Manager, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • work within a tight-knit team, reporting to the Research Integrity Manger

  • undertake specific projects including collecting and documenting information; collecting and analysing data, summarising issues and developing and describing solutions 

  • organise presentations and training sessions for students, staff and committee members

  • prepare reports, letters, terms of reference and other communications relating to administration

  • initiate and prepare agendas, minutes, reports and execute committee decisions

  • participate in the development, administration and presentation of training programs, materials and tools

  • handle general enquiries relating to research integrity and ethics administration.

About you

If you’re someone who enjoys providing high quality administrative support and working with like-minded individuals, you will thrive in this opportunity.

  • 2-3 years’ experience working within a research or research administration environment

  • excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and succinctly

  • experience with supporting committees including committee processes and operations

  • demonstrable experience in preparing and presenting material to a variety of stakeholders

  • ability to attend and support meetings scheduled to fit with academic staff availabilities.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
