The School of Nursing and Midwifery (SoNM) is a national leader in nursing and midwifery education, research and scholarship with one of the largest undergraduate, pre-registration nursing degree programs in Australia and a Bachelor of Midwifery program. The School also offers a range of Postgraduate Nursing and Midwifery programs.

About the role

This position is a conjoint appointment with Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) located at Nepean Hospital, situated within the Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Research (CNMR). The role will provide visionary and strategic leadership in research and translation of research to evidence based practice and models of care and will work in partnership with the NBMLHD Education and Training Services (ETS) to design and execute programs in partnership with the university.

The University and NBMLHD are seeking a professorial leader to make a distinguished and dynamic contribution to clinical and research leadership in midwifery in Western Sydney. Applicants for professorial positions must hold a PhD in Midwifery or a relevant discipline and have a distinguished research career as evidenced by publication track record and success obtaining funding for research.

Skills & Experience

Applicants must also have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clinical setting; demonstrate achievement in clinical leadership; the ability to lead practice development in health services and have expertise and experience in midwife education in university-based programs. Remuneration Package:

Academic Level D $197,077 to $216,457 p.a. (comprising Salary of $166,986 to $183,550 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)

Academic Level E $252,001 to $260,770 p.a. (comprising Salary of $213,930 to $221,425 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
