The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Enterprise and International) is seeking a Community and Operations Officer to provide high-level support across all areas of the entrepreneurship education, start-up accelerator and industry innovation. This position will primarily be working within Launch Pad, the University's Technology Business Incubator focused on driving innovation and entrepreneurship across western Sydney and beyond. Launch Pad is focused on supporting students, start-ups and SMEs to develop innovative ideas, build viable businesses and drive economic and job growth for the regional economy.

About the Role
You will coordinate delivery and facilitation of structured curriculum and mentoring support through a range of workshops, masterclasses, networking events, founder talks, pitch sessions and expert speaker presentations. You will also coordinate digital and communication software tools for project management, social media, newsletter, CRM database and reporting by interacting with a range of University and external partners including mentors, investors, potential customer’s, students, researchers and academics.

An understanding of start-up and technology concepts and frameworks is essential to support Western Sydney University students and non-student founders to develop their opportunities from ideation to launch.

About You
You should have a tertiary qualification in business, technology or relevant discipline, with experience working in a start-up company or the start-up and early-stage business support ecosystem, previous experience working in start-up incubator/accelerator program or innovation hub setting.

You will be required to build and manage a strong community of entrepreneurs so high-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work, build and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues and other internal and external stakeholders are required.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for three years, based at either the Penrith or Parramatta City campus. You may be required to work between both campuses from time to time.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 6 - $98,696 to $105,282 p.a. (comprising Salary of $83,399 to $89,426 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
