The Office of Teaching and Research Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic Nursing and Midwifery Team.

As a Technical Support Officer (Nursing and Midwifery), your primary focus will be ensuring that all teaching & clinical simulation facilities and equipment are supported with the highest quality technical service in the Nursing and Midwifery discipline areas. To be successful in the role, you will hold an undergraduate degree in Nursing and Midwifery, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. People with an undergraduate degree in Medical Science, Biology, Microbiology or Biomolecular Sciences and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training will also be considered.  You will also be client focused, have the ability to think innovatively, be a good problem solver with the ability to identify and implement solutions. You will also have demonstrated experience working in a clinical practice, patient care or other health related facility.

Applicants should be aware that this role will be based at Parramatta South campus, however as Western Sydney University is a multi-campus university travel to other campuses may be required when operational needs arise.

Hours of work for employees in Teaching & Research Technical Services may vary due to operational requirements in supporting teaching classes or research projects and further details are outlined in the position description.

This is a part-time (0.2 FTE), fixed-term position until 16 March 2023.  Working roster is Wednesday each week.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 5 $17,549 to $19,876 pro rata rates (comprising Salary of $14,829 to $16,796 pro rata rates, plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
