About the Office of Student Experience and Marketing
The Office of Student Experience and Marketingis responsible for attracting and enrolling prospective students and optimising the students’ experience throughout their time at Western.   

The Office of Student Experience and Marketing is part of the Division of People and Advancement, which is led by the Vice President, People and Advancement. The Division of People and Advancement has three primary responsibilities:  

  • To develop the University’s academic and professional workforce in conjunction with other Executive members;  
  • To assume overall responsibility for the student experience and student life cycle, including innovative approaches to marketing and recruitment, and oversight and delivery of the student experience throughout their time with WSU;   
  • To take responsibility for governance, risk management and compliance. 

About the Role
The Office of Student Experience and Marketing are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Project Coordinator within the Digital Operations team. If you’re passionate about delivering digital experiences which will transform the student experience for thousands of students, we’ve got the team for you!

The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management in the planning, execution, and delivery of digital projects. Projects may include website redevelopments, site launches, migration and other initiatives undertaken by the Digital Operations Team which support the strategic objectives of the unit, division, and the University.

The position will be required to liaise effectively and maintain good working relationships with many key stakeholders. The role also coordinates and supports the delivery process, and monitors and tracks projects in a collaborative partnership, which may include assisting with web content build and production as required.

The position will support regular reporting and preparation of artefacts during the project lifecycle including post implementation reviews. Out of normal hours and weekend work may be required during peak delivery periods.

What do I need?
The successful candidate will have proven experience in delivering digital projects throughout the entire project lifecycle from project initiation/planning through to project closure. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in organisation, stakeholder management, analysis, problem solving and identifying risks. A demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, concepts and arguments to stakeholders including senior management and technical specialists in the most appropriate medium is essential.

Expertise in a web publishing environment and working knowledge of applications including Smartsheet, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target will be advantageous.

The Senior Project Coordinator will also champion the values of the Office of Student Experience & Marketing (SEM) and ensure their practice aligns with these values and service delivery contributing to the overall student experience to transform lives.

This is a full -time, fixed-term position until 31 December 2024 position based at Western’s Hawkesbury Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Hybrid work arrangements are available, allowing the successful candidate to work from home for up to two days a week. Please review the position description for further information.

Remuneration Package:  HEW Level 7 $117,645 to $126,892 p.a. (comprising Salary of $99,411 to $107,225 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
