Your new role

The Faculty of Business and Law are looking for an enthusiastic Project Officer to join their successful Executive Education team, working with the Director and Program Coordinators in this full time, fixed-term role. As the Project Officer, you will provide high level administrative and operational support to the team and assist with the development, coordination and implementation of a variety of projects.


In this role you will
  • Provide administrative and logistical support, including planning, tracking reporting, quality management and communications.
  • Resolve operational problems and assist in the development and implementation of initiatives, processes and systems for effective and efficient administration of the project.
  • Assist in identifying impacts and risks associated with the project and report on and support the Project Lead with the management of these.
  • Build relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders and service providers, including industry groups.
  • Work collaboratively with academics and industry representatives to deliver successful program outcomes.
We are looking for
  • Completion of a relevant degree will be highly regarded but is not essential. You may have an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to organise time and work activities according to priorities and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people and with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated effective written communication skills with the ability to construct clear and concise correspondence and documentation.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team, including respecting difference, leading, supporting others, accepting direction, and working to group goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving work environment.
  • Previous experience in a tertiary environment.
You will also have
  • A level of fitness commensurate with the position.
  • The ability to travel interstate and/or overseas when required.
  • The ability to work outside of normal office hours when required.
  • A willingness to help out other team members and to conduct tasks outside the parameters of this job description if required.
