  • Full-time, 2 year Fixed Term position
  • Salary HEW 8 ($106,690 - $120,153) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

About the Role

As the Project Manager, you will coordinate and operationalise the School’s strategic projects to transition teaching and research activity out of the Bundoora East campus, including the establishment of Agile hubs and Industry hubs. You will also be responsible for the management of timelines relating to the implementation of each project.

The School expects to launch a number of agile/industry hubs that will vary in size and complexity, with a focus on retrofitting existing facilities and/or adding in new facilities to existing buildings, such as warehouses or similar to house current and future activity. This will involve taking the plans for a hub at the design/concept stage and then working with stakeholders to develop a project plan for the design, build, fitting out and commissioning of a hub.

We are looking for a candidate who is a keen and dynamic individual, with the ability to be a team player, and a desire to contribute to an exciting set of projects across different engineering disciplines.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, verbal, and technical communication skills with the ability to liaise and work effectively with a range of people across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work autonomously with considerable independence.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, develop and implement effective workplace practices and processes and convey complex information to colleagues.
  • High level organisational, time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise judgement and initiative, while maintaining commitment to achieving outcomes
