Be part of the Executive team within the STEM College and have a real impact on the delivery of its operations and strategy
Full time, continuing position at a salary level HEW 9 - based at the City Campus
About You
As a Project Lead – STEM Projects, you will play a pivotal role in the College’s Executive team by leading and implementing complex projects and strategies and working collaboratively within the DVC Office to enable the future vision of the STEM College. You will have innovative mindset to develop and propose new initiatives and ability to act as a leader in driving project and conduct assessments involved with it. This role will see you:
Conduct report writing, extensive data analysis, financial modelling and drafting business cases
Manage and develop multiple projects whilst leading a team of contracted project managers
Prepare and present comprehensive reports, briefings, presentation packs on matters of strategic and operational importance for a wide range of audiences, including executive governance committees across the University
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Strong experience in managing multiple projects, from planning to implementation within agreed timelines and budgets
Ability to research and lean on wide range of resources leading to relevant analyses of key issues and rational decision-making
Proven outstanding communication skills, including experience in developing professional communication material, such as; briefing papers, business cases and project pitches
Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and consulting skills, including the ability to interact with stakeholders at various levels
Strong project management methodology skills; expertise in Agile and Lean methods preferred.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and manage a team to achieve the project’s outcomes and ensure its success
Desirable
Understanding of the tertiary education sector funding
Experience working with academic staff in delivering large scale projects or programs of work
Qualifications
A relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive relevant experience
Formal change methodology accreditation or significant experience in managing large scale projects.
