Overview:

  • Full-Time, Fixed-Term contract until 31 December 2024

  • Salary Level Senior Educator 1 + Superannuation

  • Based at the  Melbourne,  Brunswick  or  Bundoora  campus,  however,  may  be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.

About You
In the role of Program Coordinator, Sciences & Allied Health, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the development, delivery, evaluation, and design of customized, high-quality vocational education and training programs. Additionally, you will be expected to manage staff resources and student administration for the programs under your purview. This position will require you to collaborate with other organizations and schools at RMIT, as well as interact with teaching and administrative staff. You will also need to participate in relevant activities to maintain your vocational competence and encourage other teaching staff to do the same.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated educational leadership skills that effectively promote teaching and learning.

  • An understanding of the students at risk process, special consideration process and equivalent learning and assessment strategies.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, presentation, facilitation and counselling skills.

  • Evidence in the use of effective, innovative and flexible teaching methods and teaching experience in the related cluster.

  • Relevant skills and expertise in competency-based assessment.

  • Experience in the industry, and substantial and current discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the vocational education and training sector and the training requirements of relevant industries related to Quality Assurance processes for TESQA and ASQA in compliance of programs.

Qualifications

  • Teaching qualifications – Certificate 4 in Training & Assessment as a minimum. Higher qualifications in Vocational Education Training will be highly regarded.

  • Must be a registered Allied Health Assistant or Allied Health professional with minimum 3 years industry experience.

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
