(HE08) $106,561 to $119,550 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation

Continuing full time position.

Exciting opportunity supporting the research portfolio as part of our Strategic Procurement team.

Our Strategic Procurement team provide leadership and procurement management across a range of specialist areas, partnering with stakeholders across the University. In this role you will promote continuous improvement through consideration of risk, variety, quantity, supplier base, price, total cost, quality, and stakeholder experience.

Your strengths will include a continuous improvement mindset and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Your extensive procurement experience will showcase your capability to create and implement comprehensive and integrated strategic procurement processes, and review contractual agreements while ensuring suppliers are fully accountable in providing services for the University.

To be successful you will need:

  • Procurement management experience gained within a complex commercial environment.
  • Experience with tender processes, systems and a broad understanding of contract management issues relating to Category Management
  • Experience in Category Management with the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies, policies, processes, guidelines, pricing and cost analysis, alongside robust performance monitoring, commodity and contract management reviews
  • Highly developed interpersonal, consultation and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence and liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders in a way that encourages support and respect.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentations to stakeholders to secure support for proposed strategies.
  • Experience or exposure to procurement management within the research, scientific, and/or medical equipment and consumables domain is desirable but not essential.
