The University of Queensland International Marketing and Communications team, as part of the Future Students and Admissions Division, is data driven and results focused. We are seeking a talented marketing analyst who thrives on analysing the intersection of what happens between marketing channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical, analytical, and marketing background – with a hunger to improve campaign success.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop meaningful metrics and measurement solutions to facilitate decision making for marketing investments, communications alignment and development of measurable marketing and communication objectives for campaigns.

  • Work with internal and external partners on the set up of campaign tracking and testing, ensuring that tracking solutions are implemented in a timely manner to attain actionable insights that can optimise campaigns and inform improvements for future campaigns.

  • Measure, refine and evaluate the impact of digital marketing activities by delivering regular detailed digital marketing reports (including Post Campaign Reports) and provide strategic marketing advice to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop meaningful marketing KPI dashboards and deliver on a regular basis, cross-channel performance reports with actionable insight.

  • Stay abreast of latest digital marketing advancements and bring innovation through ideas and data insight.

  • Manage in-house market research projects including: design of questionnaire, administration of survey and survey analysis and reporting; for Focus Groups development of discussion guides, administration of the Focus Groups and reporting.

This is a Full-time, Fixed-term position up to January 2025. At HEW Level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range of $96,649.64 to $105,244.58 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $113,080.08 – $123,136.16 per annum.  


About You

  • A bachelor's degree along with 2-3 years' relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

  • Demonstrated experience in measuring and analysing online marketing campaigns (including organic and paid search, email, affiliate, display and social), as well as a high level of experience working with analytical software (such as Google Analytics (GA4)) and a demonstrated ability in setting up campaign tracking and dashboards for activity monitoring.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using spreadsheets and database systems, including a demonstrated ability to understand and work with complex data structures.

  • Proficiency in business intelligence software such as SAP Business Objects; Power BI; using the advanced features of Excel including macro and data-analysis as well as familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL); using the advanced features of a business intelligence software application, including linked universes, deriving variables, sub queries, drill down and advanced formatting.

  • Experienced working with content management systems (ideally Drupal) as well as CRM and Marketing Automation software (ideally Salesforce) including analysing data and creating reports and dashboards.

  • High-level written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated experience in developing and presenting reports, particularly in the collection, preparation and monitoring of corporate data and experience in interpreting such data.

  • Demonstrated ability in both qualitative and quantitative.

  • Ability to prioritise workload, work independently and take initiative within a collaborative team.

  • An understanding of the higher education sector is desirable (particularly international higher education), but not essential.

  • Additional certification in digital marketing will be desirable.
