In your role as PMO Lead, you will support the delivery of our innovative digital transformation program. As the manager of a small team of coordinators and administrators you will be responsible for the improvement and alignment of our project delivery standards and practices, developing and mentoring team members, and ensuring that the team is always striving for best practice and delivery of value to stakeholders. You will also lead on governance, oversight, and reporting for the strategic technology programs and projects. Finally, you will have the opportunity to work with our agile coach to embed agile practices within our delivery teams.

- Your experience leading a PMO team in large organisations will enable you to establish, maintain and improve the project, Program and portfolio management (P3M) practices, standards, systems, services and tools in alignment with the Curtin strategic governance framework and our new agile practices for delivery under the direction of the Strategic Program Manager
- You will use your skill leading a team to identify, prioritise, allocate, and monitor work and ensure outcomes are achieved using agile ways of working in collaboration with team members.
- You are highly organised and will ensure periodic PMO activities are planned, executed, and tracked to the agreed cadence (governance, reporting, budgeting, etc)
- You possess strong facilitation capabilities to support project-related workshops and agile planning events
- Passionate about continual improvement you will improve processes and tools over time based on expertise, insight, need, priority, and feedback, leveraging SMEs as required
- Demonstrating a high commitment to quality, you will ensure quality assurance and control at appropriate gates
- You are well versed in the use of tools to achieve consistent outcomes and will ensure a library of tools exists across the project lifecycle and provide support and guidance on their use to team members and project managers
- You have experience using financial tools to validate baseline, forecast and actual costs in partnership with the finance department
- You are committed to data driven decision making and have strong capabilities to design and implement dashboards to track and report on PMO KPIs and to summarise subjective and objective project data into meaningful project, program, and portfolio insights
- You demonstrate flexibility in thinking and can support organisational change to help in the adoption of new ways of working
- You have great verbal and written communication skills
- You are comfortable with ambiguity, can handle the unexpected with flexibility
- You have outstanding interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact professionally with clients and build relationships
- You are familiar with one or more Agile Project, Program and Portfolio Management methodologies
- Project/Program Management Certifications or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and/or extensive relevant experience
- Knowledge and experience using a Project Portfolio Management tool, Jira, Confluence, data & analytics platforms a plus
- Experience with lean portfolio management and scaled agile and matrix delivery structures is a plus
