About the Role
The role involves overseeing administrative tasks for clinical placements in postgraduate programs at the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences, ensuring compliance with policies. A distinctive aspect of the role is the management of placements in remote clinical settings, demanding a high level of judgment and discretion, while embodying the school's core values.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating placement processes, including compiling student compliance information, organising placement requests and offers, assisting with allocation, supporting recruitment efforts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Managing day-to-day placement queries, ensuring expediency, accuracy, and courtesy, and referring complex issues to relevant Placement Coordinators.
  • Preparing and distributing timely communication to students and supervisors in collaboration with academic placement coordinators.
  • Provide support to the Academic Programs team and associated activities  as required.

You will also have:

  • Undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience. 
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and database management systems, coupled with high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
