Opportunity

The Garnett Passe and Rodney Williams Professorship in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne is a newly established position funded by The Passe and Williams Foundation and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne with the prime focus being the advancement of the field of Head and Neck Oncology. It is a key leadership position within the University of Melbourne, reporting to the head of the Department of Surgery. The position will provide the opportunity to expand these services across the state of Victoria.

The Professorship has an important leadership role in academic surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and will work closely with the Chief Executive of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne to promote excellence in clinical care in the field of Head and Neck Oncology and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and enhance the strong research links between the University of Melbourne Medical School and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. The Professorship will also contribute to the Department’s reputation for learning and teaching excellence.

About You

You will be an outstanding Otolaryngology Head and Neck surgeon, and an eminent authority in the field of Head and Neck Oncology and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.

You will possess;

  • A medical qualification, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent qualification
  • PhD or equivalent research higher degree
