About the role:

As the National Manager Student System Operations you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the student systems (currently Banner, Degreeworks, BDM) to ensure the system is operating to its fullest capacity. You'll also ensure that the integrity and accuracy of system data and security protocols are maintained and that all users and students have access to designated functions on time. The National Manager is also responsible for working closely with Student Administration, directorates, faculties and schools across the university to identify, develop, manage and enhance systems and processes, which have significant impact on students and staff of the university.

More specifically the role entails:

  • Identifying best practice methods for carrying out the work of the unit and provides advice on the strategic and operational implications of new procedures to ensure a comprehensive and consistent approach to the collection and storage of student information across the university.
  • Operating nationally and contribute to the ongoing success of the Directorate's Operational Plan by having a strong focus on the student experience and quality customer service and by being an active member of the Student Administration Leadership Team.
  • Ensuring Student Systems are operating effectively and integrity of data is maintained.
  • Leading activities with vendors and IT staff to ensure Student Systems are responsive to changing needs.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and vendor product roadmaps to continually improve processes.
  • Developing staff and maintaining a collaborative, customer centric culture.

  • Total remuneration valued to $151,211 - $161,352 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $127,838 - $136,506 (pro rata) pa (HEW 9), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
