(HE05) $77,409 - $86,072 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Are you experienced with working in media or communications?  We have a continuing opportunity for a Media Officer to join our collaborative Media and Corporate Relations team.

The Media and Corporate Relations branch proactively positions the University of Adelaide as a key driver of social and economic prosperity in South Australia and as a respected thought leader, through effective agenda setting with key external stakeholders in media, government, industry, and the broader community.  The branch encompasses dedicated teams in corporate and government relations, protocol management, communications and media capabilities.

Working under general direction, the Media Officer provides assistance to the Media & Corporate Relations team, and across the broader Division as required.  Tasks include producing daily media report, writing media releases, attending photoshoots as required, proof reading and supporting various media and communications initiatives as required – all of which will require you to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated high level writing/editing skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, confident presentation, approachability and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Excellent attention to detail, demonstrated problem solving capability and the ability to perform work under pressure.
  • Proven ability to actively contribute to a collaborative, dynamic team and adapt to change in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, taking pride in providing solutions and delivering outstanding service.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters of a complex nature.

Candidates with Media experience will be highly regarded.
