The Position 

This is an exciting new position to be responsible for providing strategic initiative and executive level writing, communications, and analytical support to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures). The role will research, develop, and report on strategic initiative proposals and grant opportunities, provide senior level stakeholder management to progress projects of significance for the South West and other regions, and provide senior executive support and advice to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures) and Vice-President.

The Person 

To succeed in this strategic and senior executive support role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification, and/or with extensive experience operating at and supporting senior executive; 
  • Extensive experience researching, developing, report and proposal writing at an executive level; and 
  • Extensive stakeholder management experience at a senior level and preferably including government, private and commercial industries. 

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage.

The Position Context

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures) promotes and actively enhances ECU’s external regional relations through governance and advisory roles, industry, and higher education sector partnerships.   The focus of the Office is to build the capacity and success of ECU South West, including ECU South West’s Bunbury Campus (WA’s largest regional campus) and the four learning hubs throughout the South West. The Regional Plan 2022-2026 demonstrates ECU’s social responsibility by supporting the educational, research, community, and industry needs of regional Australia with the focus to improve access, participation, retention, and successful outcomes for regional ECU students.  The position will play an important role to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures) to progress the Regional Plan commitments.

This full-time ongoing position attracts remuneration of circa $120,376 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
