Leading a small and newly formed team you will be empowered to foster business intelligence solutions which will enable SATAC customers to make data driven decisions and access data insights. The right candidate is innovative, driven by the value of data and has a business improvement mindset.

Working under broad direction, and with a considerable degree of autonomy, the Manager, Data & Analytics is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining robust business intelligence solutions. The position will foster data as an asset and design and deliver innovation, value, improve processes and reporting and support decision making through data insights to Senior Management, and other key stakeholders. The role oversees a small team responsible for supporting the tertiary educational sector, in subject scaling, aggregation and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) calculation exercises, allocation of tertiary admission components to SACE/NTCET year 12 results, and monitoring changes, developments and trends in the educational sector.

To be successful you will need:

  • Significant experience regarding solutions related to the use and development of data and analytics to support member engagement and lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with the analysis of data from complex data sets and systems.
  • Significant experience with advanced analytics, business modelling, and optimisation, simulation modelling and statistical techniques.
  • Experience of applying analytics tools and techniques to a variety of complex business problems and an understanding of which approaches are relevant in different scenarios, delivering value.
  • Experience in data sourcing, cleansing, preparation and management.

The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) Limited provides reliable, efficient and innovative tertiary admissions services to its member institutions and on a fee for service basis to other tertiary education institutions in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

SATAC manages centralised application and admissions processes on behalf of its members and participating fee for service institutions, as well as administering admissions aptitude tests, providing publication and research services, and acting as a one-stop shop for queries regarding application processes and outcomes.
