  • Salary range: Level 9 $117,049 - $123,858 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team  

Campus Management is responsible for planning, designing, developing and managing the University’s campus and property portfolio to support teaching, research and campus life.

About the opportunity  

You will provide efficient and effective delivery of physical asset maintenance services across the University, providing key operational planning and direction, with the specific aim of alignment with ISO 55001: 2014 – Asset Management – Management Systems. You will also have a significant role in establishing and influencing asset management policies, procedures and processes, ensuring compliance, quality assurance, reporting and oversight of co-sourced functions and the management of the University’s built environment and infrastructure.

About you

UWA is looking or a self-motivated, dynamic and innovative Manager in Asset Maintenance to lead the university’s campus management maintenance team. With excellent people management skills, intimate knowledge of building codes and standards, a flare for innovation and a firm understanding of the ISO 55’000 suite of standards. The successful candidate will be rewarded with the chance to lead the positive change within the UWA maintenance space. As part of the operations and maintenance leadership team, this role will be pivotal in shaping the future of UWA’s operations and maintenance service offering across campus.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency (Engineering or Building qualifications preferred)
  • Substantial and extensive relevant experience in asset management including managing buildings and engineering infrastructure, central plant chillers, cooling towers, vertical transport, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and the delivery of maintenance, renewal projects and asset replacement programs
  • Substantial leadership and management experience including providing career progression, succession and development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high-level consultation and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to long term planning and strategic direction at an influential level
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and manage a substantial area
