Level A ($75,888- $102,040); Level B ($107,276 - $126,894) per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

*Fixed term 3-year position

*Exciting opportunity to work for the ARC Industry Laureate Fellowship (‘Combatting Wildlife Crime and Preventing Environmental Harm), at the University of Adelaide.

*Plus the Australian Centre for Wildlife Genomics (ACWG) at the Australian Museum Research Institute.

*The candidate will be expected to be primarily based at the ACWG in Sydney, Australia.

To be successful you will need (please refer to full criteria for each level)

Level A

• PhD in molecular ecology or forensic biology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated research ability (experimental design, laboratory work, data analysis and publication) that supports applied research in wildlife forensic science, particularly in zoology, population/conservation genetics, phylogenetics, or forensic biology.
• Record of research achievements as evidenced by publications and conference presentations.

Level B

• PhD in molecular ecology or forensic biology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated research ability (experimental design, laboratory work, data analysis and publication) that supports applied research in wildlife forensic science, particularly in zoology, population/conservation genetics, phylogenetics, or forensic biology.
• Strong track record of research achievements as evidenced by publications and conference presentations and the ability to attract and supervise postgraduate students.
• Demonstrated ability to win research funding in a competitive environment.

*This position (at Level A/B) requires a valid National Police Check.
