Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy - School of Health Sciences

  • Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week) and Part-time hours also will be considered. 
  • Duration: Continuing
  • Remuneration: $119K - $153K base (+17% super and leave loading)
  • Work rights: Full Australian working rights.

The Organisation

The School of Health Services is rapidly expanding to service education agendas based on our four ground-breaking health professional education programs. These programs will see the scope of our teaching effort broaden significantly and shape the future Health workforce in Australia and beyond.

Why this role matters  

We are looking for Lecturers or Senior Lecturers that will make a significant contribution to the delivery of the Bachelor of Exercise Science/Masters of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology program. The roles will focus on teaching within the discipline of Physiotherapy in the School of Health Sciences, and we are specifically seeking academics with expertise within the sub-disciplinary area of neurological physiotherapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy and/or physiotherapy across the lifespan.

Who you are:

Level B:

  • A PhD in Physiotherapy or other related health / medical disciplines and registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist in Australia.
  • Clinical expertise in an area of physiotherapy complementary to the School of Health Sciences team (this may include neurological, musculoskeletal or physiotherapy across the lifespan e.g., paediatric, women’s health and aged care).
  • Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery of courses (subjects) and programs (degrees), at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Experience of implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry and work-integrated learning.

Level C (in addition to the above):

  • Significant experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Evidence of professional development in teaching and a strong track record of teaching excellence.
  • Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement.
  • Demonstrated track record in research (may be in scholarship of learning and teaching) with outcomes of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leadership.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others.
