(Level B) $100,933 to $119,391 or (Level C) $123,075 to $141,537 per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation may apply.

Continuing, full-time position available

This is an exciting opportunity to teach and research in Building Information Modelling based measurement and construction management in a collegial environment.

The successful candidate will lead curriculum development, delivery and evaluation of teaching, as well as provide leadership and coordination of teaching and research associated with Building Information Modelling based measurement in particular, and construction management in general. The candidate needs to demonstrate experience in teaching, or show strong potential to teach measurement based on Australian and New Zealand Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works (ANZSMM).

To be successful as Lecturer - Level B, you will need:

  • A PhD in the relevant discipline, or have equivalent qualifications/and or experience with Building Information Modelling and measurement.
  • Ability to contribute to service tasks within the School and University, plus an ability to work collaboratively with other staff members in the construction management discipline in a team environment.
  • A capacity to teach measurement based on Australian and New Zealand Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works (ANZSMM).
  • An ability to develop a research profile in either digital construction or measurement.
  • Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the School community.

In addition to the above, to be successful at Senior Lecturer - Level C, you will need:

  • A capacity to publish high quality papers and attract research funding; and to contribute to the current research foci of the School.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage courses effectively.
  • A clear capacity to teach measurement based on Australian and New Zealand Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works (ANZSMM).
  • A strong ability to teach measurement using the approach of Building Information Modelling, namely 5D BIM (e.g. CostX).
