About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic Department of Film, Games, and Animation as a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Animation. As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and researching animation practices, skills, and strategies across various animation platforms.

About You 
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:  

  • Demonstrated experience in leading development of curriculum in Animation and or related disciplines in a university setting
  • Demonstrated excellence in and commitment to innovative education, including blended learning formats, online teaching and the use of case studies and software expertise in Animation learning environments
  • Demonstrated experience with experiential or work integrated learning, and supervising undergraduate real-world internships and projects
  • Demonstrated excellence and commitment to research in the university context, and capacity in the use of a variety of research methods and a track record of publishing (traditional and NTRO’s)
  • Demonstrated ability, or potential, to attract research funding from sources external to the university or to contribute to funded research projects

Qualifications

  • A PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Animation or related discipline
  • A teaching qualification
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body
