Overview
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking to employ a current Academic Sessional or fixed-term staff member who has completed a minimum of 12 months teaching work for the School to fill this Lecturer, Midwifery role as an Academic Career Development Fellow. This Teaching Focused Scholar role will contribute to the delivery of Learning and Teaching and University Service objectives for the organisation. The role comprises:

  • Learning and Teaching 80% (including Teaching Excellence, Teaching Scholarship, Teaching Impact and Engagement)
  • University service 20%

As a Level A Academic you will receive support and guidance from senior colleagues whilst performing in their areas of academic work.

The incumbent will be responsible for teaching into ECU’s pre-registration midwifery courses and will be provided with paid time to complete a doctoral research degree.

This is a capacity building position. The successful candidate will therefore be provided with mentorship, professional development opportunities and peer review to develop teaching capabilities, and support to enable the completion of a research degree.

This full-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $72,650 to $97,389 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
