The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Officer to join our HR Business Partnering team. As an HR Officer, you will provide generalist HR services and transactional support to various faculties and divisions. The position supports the interpretation, implementation and administration of the University’s HR policies and procedures.

The Day to Day:

  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures and policy
  • Deliver professional and accurate advice and assistance on more complex issues to clients
  • Proactively undertake relevant reporting and utilise HR data to support recommendations and provide advice
  • Supporting the HR Consultant and HR Business Partner with projects and tasks
  • Provide high quality proactive customer service, delivering advice in line with Enterprise Agreements

Who you are:

The successful candidate will have a qualification in HR with 1-2 years of experience in HR. We are looking for someone keen to learn with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with Clients

We are also looking for:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and work on multiple or conflicting deadlines successfully
  • Ability to use judgment and discretion and seek advice and assistance from senior/ specialist staff as required
  • Sound understanding of contemporary HR practice, and experience in interpreting and applying relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures
  • Ability to accurately draft and prepare HR related documentation.
  • A proactive can do attitude
