About the team
The Future Students Centre sits within the Brand, Marketing and Recruitment (BMR) division and operate a dedicated contact centre that brings together the recruitment operations for international and domestic markets. The Brand, Marketing and Recruitment (BMR) division provides organisational wide brand strategy and ongoing brand management, strategic marketing and planning, marketing communications activities; digital communication, research and segmentation.

About the opportunity
The role of the Future Students Officer is to represent the University and provide personalised inbound as well as outbound course advisory support across several communication channels with prospective students and influencers. The Future Students Officer will lead with best practice customer service and their goals are to drive engagement and increase growth by supporting students from initial enquiry through to offer acceptance and enrolment. The successful candidate is supported by the Team Leader, Operations, and will also fulfil a variety of administrative tasks and roles within the Future Students Centre.

About the role
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a range of people from different cultural and educational backgrounds, and of different age groups.
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email.
  • Broad knowledge of education systems; university admission requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Experience managing multiple customer service channels (phone, face-to-face, email, live-chat) in a student-centric environment.
  • A sales-oriented approach to customer service.

Please note the below is required for the position:

  • Requirement to work during the Christmas/New Year UWA Shutdown period.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours and to travel.
  • Occasional weekend and after-hours work.
  • Ability to undertake physical tasks such as manual handling, packing and unpacking materials.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Current Driver’s License.
