Your new role
  

We are seeking an Administrative Support Officer to provide administrative and logistical support to our Talent Acquisition team. This role will be based at our Curtin Bentley Campus where you will have the opportunity to grow your network and skills, in an agile and fastmoving organisation.

This role is a fixed term 1-year contract with a commitment of 37.5 hours a week over 5 days, offering flexible hours and adaptable working arrangements.


In this role, you will:
  • Collate and organise information required for reports and area activities.
  • Prepare documentation (e.g. reports, minutes of meetings, correspondence), using the full range and features of MS Office applications, in accordance with the requirements and standards of the work unit.
  • Respond to incoming enquiries and requests from school/area customers in a proactive, accurate, customer-focused and professional manner, ensuring that information provided is in accordance with work area rules, regulations and processes.
  • Coordinate arrangements for and schedule meetings and appointments including inviting attendees, booking venues and arranging catering, as required. May manage another staff member’s diary. • Liaise with relevant staff (e.g. functional service areas –HR, Finance etc) to support school/area operational requirements.
  • Act at the first point of contact for the reception of visitors and internal/external clients of the area.
  • Undertake general clerical tasks including photocopying and dispatch of correspondence.
  • Administer, process and maintain records and relevant forms in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Facilitate the procurement of consumables for the area (e.g. stationery, equipment) within delegated financial limits and in consultation relevant school/area staff.
  • Maintain and update records and information within the work unit via the established records management system and procedures, including archival or disposal in accordance with University policy and relevant legislation, to ensure accuracy of filing and ease of retrieval.
  • Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above

We are looking for (the ideal candidate):
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of general administrative support and the ability to apply skills to a varied range of different tasks.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with general direction.
  • Demonstrated oral communication skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people in a clear and professional manner, with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise time and work activities according to priorities and to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with skills in in a wide range of applications including word processing and/or spreadsheet packages and email. Desirable
  • Previous experience within the higher education sector.

As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
