Opportunity for a Financial Manager to work in a diverse environment, with pivotal corporate responsibilities.

The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Financial/Management Accountant to work under broad direction, and with a degree of autonomy, who will be responsible for the general management and delivery of SATAC’s financial and accounting activities. In addition, the Financial/Management Accountant supports the organisation’s procurement and contract management processes, facilities and accommodation, and administrative services.

This role is key to managing the relationship and deliverables of SATAC’s external accounting services partner, insurance broker and other key suppliers. The position holder is a senior member of the Corporate Enablement team and are expected to participate and contribute positively to the team environment.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in accounting and related financial practices and in preparing accurate, relevant forecasts, financial analysis and timely reports for senior managements/ Boards.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use and development of financial modelling and analysis.
  • Knowledge of relevant finance legislation, regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports and analyses and/or other communications with a high degree of complexity for a range of audiences in both written and verbal form.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and judgement in the management of a range of administrative functions, and a proven ability to establish priorities and complete multiple tasks within time constraints.

SATAC’s broader role

The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) is central to further education in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
