Faculty of Law International Asia Scholarship

Sir John Monash Fee Scholarship


A scholarship which provides financial support to a commencing Law student within the Faculty of Law who will undertake either the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) or LLB combined degree (see list below) or Monash JD.  The purpose of the scholarship is to attract diverse and brilliant minds to the law programs at Monash.

Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
  • An International student

You must meet the following criteria:
  • An International student from China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, Singapore, Indonesia or Thailand.
  • Have applied to study:
    • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) OR
    • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) combined degrees OR
      • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
      • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts
      • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Biomedical Science
      • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce
      • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Music
      • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Science
      • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Global Studies
    • the Monash JD full-time and attending the Monash Law City Campus.
  • Achieved in the top 5% of your previous studies.

Benefits
  • Course fees paid of between 25% and 100% for the minimum number of credit points required to complete your degree.

Selection criteria

  • Applicants must submit a scholarship application statement outlining their potential to be an ambassador for the Monash Law School (500 words).
  • This scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and the applicant scholarship statement.

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain a distinction average (70% or above) each semester.
  • Maintain a full-time enrolment.
