About You
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead the development and execution of a strategic plan for Property and Campus Services. As a key senior executive, you will act as a thought leader on the strategic agenda and direction setting within areas of accountability, including policy matters in all areas where RMIT operates, and all controlled entities. You will also lead connections with external parties and Government (in conjunction with Government relations team), driving projects and work on development of precincts in Melbourne’s CBD.
Lead the management of Campus Services for all RMIT and entities including real estate services, facilities maintenance, capital works, master planning, space planning, property risk and compliance, venues, sustainability, timetable, and childcare services. Oversee the management of all property functions, student accommodation, venues, events, and sports in Australia and working in strong partnership with our Vietnam campuses.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have successfully managed a complex and diverse commercial Property, Campus Services activities within either Tertiary Sector or outside of the sector. Your will have a Strong financial acumen, including experience in managing expenditure budgets in > $80M pa and capex $150M pa and diverse capital projects including significant construction.
We are seeking someone who has demonstrated understanding of statutory compliance, construction management, facilities maintenance, sustainable and digitised property solutions.
You will have excellent communication skills and proven experience building significant and sustainable relationships at all levels of the organisation, including the ability to present and engage with senior executive team (C Suite) and at Board level.

About the Portfolio
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Vice Chancellors Executive (VCE) team, the Executive Director Property & Campus Services is responsible globally for master planning, real estate services, building maintenance and construction and managing RMIT’s global property portfolio. The total property portfolio exceeds $2 billion and spans some 485,000 square metres of space.
